| Lift up your heart and give thanks |
Each day this month I am giving thanks for something in my life that I am truly grateful, and I invite you to do the same. Share your thought here or on other public forums, or just keep them in your own heart – whatever works for you.
Today I am thankful for the luxury of being able to stay home and take care of my kids, and that I don’t have to work for the census bureau, and that the sun is shining and it’s warm so I can go dig up some celery and parsley and move it into the greenhouse for the winter. I’m also thankful that the Green Bay Packers won yesterday.
I’m thankful my husband had clear weather for his 2 hour drive to Milwaukee this week. I’m thankful for fuzzy socks and farm fresh eggs.
I’m thankful for the people who had the courage to reopen Faribault Woolen Mills over in Minnesota, and I sure hope they can make the company successful. I think I may just order a blankets on general principles. Read about their story at “Faribault blanket mill revival restores US jobs – Minnesota factory reopens with new owners, veteran workers and a mission“. Say a prayer for them, and order a blanket.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful story about Faribault. I'm thankful of the 100's of countries in this world, the Lord placed me here, in America. I'm thankful for our heritage of freedom, for the sacrifices of men and women for 100's of years to make this country the wonderful place it is. I'm thankful that 2 men decided to take a risk and reopen the mill. I pray more will be able to do the same. This is wonderful news!
Thank you for sharing Laurie!
