Sorry I’ve been MIA. I almost had a post finished, when I chose poorly and did an update while writing and lost all my work. This weekend family obligations will be keeping me away from the computer, so it’ll be next week before I get back to a more regular schedule.
Do you have a smaller blog that you’d like to bring additional traffic? I’m swamped this summer and am looking for some guest homesteading posts.
Topics I’m most interested in are vermicomposting, animal husbandry, sewing, cooking in a solar oven, and anything herb related, but I’m open to other topics, too. Leave me a comment or send me a message at laurieneverman (at) gmail (dot) com . (You can post additional ideas, too.)
Posts should be 500 – 1500 words in length, with one or more photos/images, including one primary roughly square (thumbnail friendly) image to go at the top of the post. You should also include a short bio and link back to your site.
Gotta run, but for those who are not on our Facebook group, I thought I share these photos of some recent guests in our garden.

Hi Laurie,
I enjoyed your photos of the little garden visitors! I’ve always gotten a kick out of watching bees wiggle their way into snapdragons
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Lisa! Glad you enjoyed them.
I love watching the honey bees do their work. Last week I was harvesting some zucchini from a plant that had several closed flowers on it and I kept hearing this bzzz bzzz sound. I stopped what I was doing to look around because I’d rather not get stung and I noticed one of the closed flowers is moving a little. So I snipped a little hole in the bottom of the flower and out climbed a honey bee! I wonder how he got caught in there?!?!?! LOL!
I’m so glad you rescued it! I wonder if it went in before the blossom closed or as it was closing, and just couldn’t shove back out? Poor thing!
